Downtown Waynesburg is a vibrant and bustling center of commerce, culture and community life for residents and visitors. The Waynesburg Prosperous & Beautiful Promotional Committee has dedicated itself to advancing that message to the tri-state area and beyond.

Our volunteers strive to cultivate the image of downtown Waynesburg as the epitome of small town America - a "we must stop here" place on visitor's maps. We work hard to promote local patronage, in addition to creating an environment that welcomes tourists with unique shops and a warm, friendly atmosphere that encourages return visits.

We plan to cement our "Main Street" niche with an ongoing image campaign and promotions at downtown stores and novel special events. Our hope is to showcase our Main Street as an exceptional marketplace.

The Promotion Committee will:

• Hold regular meetings to develop strategies and plan events.

• We'll solicit ideas from businesses, organize cooperative advertising and keep merchants informed about committee goals.

• We will utilize all available media to promote projects and special events.

Our goal is to "Paint the Big Picture" then allow merchants and residents to "Color in" the details that will help make Waynesburg's downtown district everyone's shopping destination.
